What We Do
Aveiro2World is an internationalisation initiative led by AIDA CCI – Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Aveiro, designed to strengthen the international positioning of Aveiro and promote its business ecosystem as an innovative, competitive and investment-attractive industrial hub.
With a strong focus on the TICE sector – Information, Communication and Electronic Technologies, the project showcases the region’s technological capabilities and industrial expertise, particularly in semiconductors, photonics and telecommunications. Aveiro is home to a dynamic ecosystem of companies, knowledge institutions and innovation stakeholders, creating strong potential for international cooperation and integration into global value chains.
Aveiro2World targets Germany, France, Spain, Mercosur and Japan, supporting companies in identifying opportunities, addressing market access challenges and establishing international partnerships.
The project promotes a collective approach to internationalisation, enhancing the visibility of regional brands, products and services, strengthening the attractiveness of Aveiro and supporting SMEs in developing their international capabilities. It also aims to attract high-value-added investment and foster knowledge transfer and technological cooperation.
Key activities include the Aveiro Region Brand Management Strategy, inbound business missions, and participation in international trade fairs in Japan, France and Germany.
At SEMICON Europa 2026, Aveiro2World presents Aveiro as a dynamic technology and industrial ecosystem, highlighting regional expertise in semiconductors, photonics and telecommunications, and its potential to contribute to advanced technology value chains. The project aims to build new international connections, foster strategic partnerships and create business and investment opportunities between Aveiro and global technology markets.
